Enthusiast of the burgeoning relations between Nigeria and China, last Thursday gathered in Ikeja to savour Ikenna Emewu’s second book on the growing relations between the two countries, amidst testy Chinese gastronomy and culinary.
The neo-classist on Nigeria-Chinese relations and development is known to have woven his tales on the friendship between the two countries on a sequence that begun several years ago and with the intention of influencing one another to the extent they would probably become symbiotic. His books have the allure of creating a new culture of excellence in Nigeria as a prelude to the country’s quest for strong and sustainable economic, political, and diplomatic entity.
The book presentation attracted quite a huge number of people who are inclined to be attracted by the author’s findings, and would want the country to trend along the line.
The Consul General of the Peoples Republic of China in Lagos’ YAN Yuqing noted that the author has remained a central figure in Nigeria-Chinese relations and enjoins him to continue his good understanding of the robust affairs between the two countries and Africa at large. The author also noted that with the amount of literary works trailing Yuqing’s posting to Lagos, there is no doubt that her tenure will record the largest collection of published works on China among the Consul Generals that have served in Africa.
The session, which attracted a huge number of managers of very important Chinese investments in Nigeria also became an avenue into many of such investments operated by Chinese officials.
Mr Oloyede Mattew, Deputy Technical Officer of Lekki Ports LTFZ Enterprises Limited, noted that the company has become the biggest single maritime investment in Africa and has become a pleasure to the Nigerian Business environment.
There are strong indications that more publications on China from Nigeria are still on their way based on the growing relationship between the two countries.
